Artwork Guidelines
Artwork Guidelines | iCreate Original
At iCreate Original, ensuring your artwork is ready for print is a crucial step in creating high-quality products. We require you to submit artwork for review to confirm that it meets our printing standards. Artwork that doesn’t meet specifications can cause delays, so it’s important to check everything before submitting. Here's what you need to know:
Why Artwork Review is Important
Artwork verification helps us ensure that your design will print correctly. We check for:
- File compatibility: Not all file formats are suitable for printing. We accept files like .AI, .PDF, .JPEG, and .PNG. Some formats may work better for certain projects, so it’s always a good idea to reach out to us before submitting.
- Resolution: Your image should be at least 300 DPI for the best print quality. Low-resolution images can appear blurry or pixelated when printed, so it’s essential to upload high-quality designs.
- CMYK vs. RGB: While most designs on screens are in RGB, printing requires CMYK color modes for the best match. Designs created in RGB may not print as expected due to color differences. Always convert your design to CMYK to ensure accurate color reproduction.
Common File Formats We Accept
We accept a variety of file formats, but vector-based files like .AI (Adobe Illustrator) and .PDF are preferred for clean, scalable designs. Here’s a quick list:
- .AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- .PDF (High-quality vector)
- .PSD (Photoshop)
- .JPEG or .PNG (for images)
- .TIFF (for high-quality images)
For the best results, we recommend submitting vector files. These files ensure your design is crisp, no matter the size. Not sure if your file will work? Contact us before placing your order.
What to Watch For
Some file formats may not be the best for every project. For instance, while JPEGs work great for images, they may not hold up in large-scale projects or detailed designs due to potential compression. Always check with us if you’re unsure whether your artwork is ready for print.
Delays Due to Artwork Issues
It’s important to understand that improper file formatting or resolution can cause delays in printing. If we notice any issues with your artwork, we’ll contact you within 24 hours to resolve them and get your project back on track as soon as possible.
